Transport NI is urged to upgrade the 'dangerous' Linenhall Street/Market Street traffic junction in Ballymoney.
UUP Councillor Darryl Wilson has written to the roads authority calling for a site survey after being contacted by “numerous” drivers and pedestrians concerned about safety.
Mr Wilson said: “Quite often at peak times cars situated in the centre of this junction waiting to enter Linenhall street or Market Street are left stranded in the middle of the junction after the lights have changed, leaving the stranded vehicles in a vulnerable and dangerous position.
“It is only a matter of time before there is a collision at this junction leading to serious injury or worse.”
